Cookie Policy
Last updated: 11 October 2026
This cookie policy explains how Adnan Siraj uses cookies and similar technologies on www.aksfitness.co.uk. It sits alongside our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle any personal data collected.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that websites place on your device when you visit them. They are widely used to make websites work, or to make them work more efficiently, and to provide information to the site's owner. Similar technologies include local storage and pixel tags.
What cookies we use
This website uses one advertising tool, the Meta Pixel, and only if you agree to it in the banner shown on your first visit. It is described in its own section below. Apart from that, we do not use cookies for advertising or marketing, and we do not use analytics products that profile individual visitors (no Google Analytics, no Hotjar, no similar tools).
We do count how many people visit the site and which pages they read, so that we know what is useful. That counting is done without cookies, without local storage, and without building any profile of you. It is described in full below.
Some cookies and data transfers can occur as a by-product of third-party services we embed on particular pages. We have chosen to disclose these rather than gate them behind a consent banner, so that you can make an informed choice using your browser's own privacy controls.
Cookies and third-party requests
- Cloudflare Web Analytics (visitor counting) — We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page views and see which pages are read most. It sets no cookies and writes nothing to your device, so there is nothing here for you to accept or refuse. It does not follow you to other websites and it is never used for advertising. Your IP address is used to work out an approximate country and is not used to identify you. What we are left with is aggregate counts: how many page views a page received, which country visitors were in, and which website or search engine they arrived from.
- Cloudflare Turnstile (bot protection) — When you submit the contact form, Cloudflare Turnstile runs a silent challenge to verify you are human. It may set short-lived cookies and perform a local storage write as part of that challenge. These are strictly necessary for the form to work and are set only at the point of submission. They do not track you across sessions or other websites.
-
Google Maps — Where we show a map (typically on the contact page), it appears first as a still image, so nothing loads from Google when the page opens. Only if you tap the map to open the interactive version does Google load it — and at that point Google may set its own cookie (mainly
NID, which Google uses for personalisation across its services and typically lasts around six months). In short, this cookie is only ever set if you choose to open the live map. - Google Fonts — We use fonts served from Google's CDN. This does not set a cookie, but it does send your IP address and basic browser information to Google each time a page loads, because the fonts are fetched from Google's servers.
If you'd rather avoid the Google cookies or data transfers entirely, you can block third-party cookies in your browser settings, or use a privacy extension (for example uBlock Origin or Privacy Badger). The map will still show as a still image but won't load the interactive Google version, and fonts will fall back to a default system typeface; the rest of the site works normally.
Advertising cookies (only with your consent)
We advertise on Facebook and Instagram. To see whether those adverts work, we use the Meta Pixel, a small piece of code supplied by Meta Platforms Ireland Limited. It is not loaded when a page opens. It runs only after you press Accept in the cookie banner, and if you press Reject nothing from Meta is loaded and no advertising cookie is set.
If you accept, the pixel:
- sets a cookie called
_fbpon this site, which lasts up to 90 days and gives your browser a random identifier, and, if you arrived by clicking one of our adverts, a cookie called_fbcthat records the click; - tells Meta which pages you view here, and when you submit a coaching application, book a consultation or complete a purchase, together with your IP address and basic browser information;
- lets Meta match that activity to your Facebook or Instagram account if you have one, so that we can measure our adverts and show them to people who have visited this site.
Meta uses this information for its own purposes as well, under its own privacy policy, including to improve its advertising systems. We never see who you are in the data Meta gives us; we only see totals.
You can change your mind at any time using the Cookie settings link in the footer of every page. Choosing Reject there stops the pixel loading, removes the cookies it set, and reloads the page. We remember your choice in your browser's local storage for up to 12 months, after which we ask again.
Third-party cookies and recipients
The third parties that may interact with your browser when you use this site are:
- Cloudflare — content delivery, hosting, the Turnstile bot-protection challenge on the contact form, and the cookieless visitor counting described above.
- Google — when a page embeds an interactive map, or when fonts are loaded from Google's CDN.
- Meta — only if you accept advertising cookies in the banner, as described above.
Apart from the Meta Pixel described above, which runs only with your consent, we do not embed advertising or cross-site tracking tools such as Hotjar or similar products, and we do not use Google Analytics. The visitor counting described above sets no cookies and cannot follow you to other websites.
Controlling cookies
You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers let you:
- See which cookies a website has set
- Block all or some cookies
- Delete cookies that have already been stored
- Be warned before a cookie is stored
The advertising cookies described above are controlled by the banner and the Cookie settings link, so you do not need to change your browser settings to refuse them. The remaining cookies this site may set are strictly necessary for the operation of the contact form, so blocking those may prevent the form from working. Other pages on the site will remain fully accessible.
For guidance on managing cookies in specific browsers, see the advice published by the ICO at ico.org.uk/your-data-matters/online/cookies/.
Changes to this policy
If we change the cookies this site uses, we will update this policy and the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes will be highlighted on the home page for at least 30 days.
